The North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries is a faith based organization that provides food, clothing, utility and prescription medication assistance to residents of Buford, Sugar Hill and Suwanee, GA. Please see "Our Services" page for more information.

Drop off hours for donation deliveries are: Mondays 5:00pm - 8:00pm; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am - 2:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00am-4:00pm.   Our address is 4395 Commerce Drive Buford 30519.

HOLIDAY INFORMATION

 

Last year the North Gwinnett Co-Op distributed holiday meals to over 1,500 families,

provided Christmas gifts to 326 children and 62 senior citizens.

We NEED YOU to make the 2016 holidays a success.

SPONSOR A MEAL BOX - There are seveal ways to sponsor a meal box this holiday.  Sponsors have the choice of:

1.  Donate the items needed fo a meal box and the Co-Op volunteers will assemble the box.

2.  Make a donation of $50 to sponsor a holiday meal box.  Donations for meal boxes made be made @ https://www.gagivesday.org/c/GGD/a/northgwinnettcoop

3.  Pick up empty meal box from Co-Op, pack box with required items and return packed box to Co-Op.

When donating a meal box:

  • Leave box unsealed.
  • Complete a meal box label. Each meal box will have a donation label. The label lets the recipient of the meal box know who donated their meal box. Donors can write their name, company name, scripture, etc. on the label.
  • Do not pack gift card in box – turn gift cards in when donating the meal box.

Contents of meal box should include the following:

  • Box potatoes (mashed/au gratin, etc.)
  • Yams (2 small cans or 1 large can)
  • Cranberry Sauce (1 can)
  • Green Beans (2 cans) will be supplied by Co-Op
  • Corn (2 cans)
  • Canned Fruit (2 small cans or 1 large can)
  • Box of stuffing
  • Gravy mix (or jar)
  • Box of macaroni and cheese
  • Box of corn bread or muffin mix
  • Chicken Broth (1 can)
  • Cream of Mushroom soup (2 small cans)
  • Marshmallows (1 small bag)
  • Evaporated or sweet condensed milk (1 small can)
  • Cake Mix and icing OR Cookie mix w/ sprinkles
  • $20 gift card to Wal-Mart, Quality Food, Kroger

SPONSOR A CHILD OR SENIOR FOR CHRISTMAS

Child Sponsorships - We ask sponsors provide a minimum of five, new items for the child they are sponsoring.   Each child's wish list will indicate if they are in need of  the following:

  • A winter coat

  • Set of pajamas

  • One outfit for school or church

  • One pair of shoes

  • A toy, not to exceed $30.00

The North Gwinnett Co-Op is partnering with a few other agencies that will be providing other toys for the children as well. Sponsors will receive the child’s name and identification number, their sizes, favorite color and a few ideas for toys.

Senior Sponsorships: We ask sponsors to provide a minimum of three, new items for the senior they are sponsoring:

  • A winter coat (if needed)

  • Robe and/or pajamas

  • Clothing or household need

  • One pair of shoes (if needed)Needed personal care items

Sponsors will receive the senior’s name and identification number, their sizes, favorite color and a few ideas for gifts. Please note that our seniors don’t generally ask for a lot, so there may only be a few items on the list.

Gifts:

Should be delivered to the Co-Op by Friday, December 16, 2016.

Gifts should be wrapped & labeled with the child/senior’s name and ID # on EACH item.

No used items.

The Co-Op’s hours of operation are; Monday 6-8pm, Wednesday-Friday 10am-2pm. Looking for Holiday Assistance?

You must live in our service area (see Services page for details on qualifications).

Seniors (persons 60yrs +) may sign up for gifts each holiday.  Limited spaces available.

Children's sponsorships rotate and have a 4-year maximum.   If your child was sponsored by NGC in 2015, you may not sign up for sponsorship this year.  Limited spaces available.

Meal boxes:  You may sign up each year (per qualifications).
