Volunteers – It takes a Village
We depend on volunteers EVERYDAY to make things work at the Co-Op! Currently we have over 150 committed volunteers that serve on a regular basis. Some volunteers come once a week, once a month, or once a quarter. Volunteer groups are a large part of our success, too, with teams, small groups, corporations, clubs, and families serving when they can. A typical volunteer shift is two to four hours of either sorting donations for the thrift store or organizing merchandise; stocking food pantry shelves or shopping for clients needs; and, assisting clients in a variety of ways. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parents/guardian. The minimum age of a volunteer is ten years old. To find a list of available volunteer days & times, there is a link on the website under Give Help/Volunteer. For additional questions or to schedule a group, contact Kim Barry at kbarry@ngcoop.org.
