Here at the North Gwinnett Co-Op, we are helping to improve the lives of those in our community facing hunger, but we can’t do it alone. Every time you volunteer with us, you leave knowing you’ve helped place food on the tables of our neighbors in need.
Our organization is dependent on Volunteers for day-to-day operations. Currently we have over 150 committed volunteers that serve on a regular basis. Some volunteers come once a week, once a month, or once a quarter. A typical volunteer shift is two to four hours. Volunteers help by sorting donations, stocking shelves, organizing in the thrift store and assisting clients as needed. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The minimum age of a volunteer is 10 years old.
SAFETY is our priority. Please note that open-toed shoes and jewelry are not permitted in our warehouse when handling food. Thank you for your cooperation!

Volunteer groups can make a big impact in a short time! Corporate, school, religious, military and other groups can make for a great team-building opportunity and can be designed to suit groups of all sizes. When groups volunteer, they typically help with sorting and packing food. Register your group today by calling or emailing Kim Barry at kbarry@ngcoop.org.
The North Gwinnett Co-Op does allow persons needing to complete community service hours volunteer. The Co-Op allows community service hours for TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS ONLY (including DUI/BUI). Hours are earned hour for hour, no monetary donations will be accepted in place of serving required community service hours. Volunteers needing to serve hours must schedule an interview with Kim Barry. To schedule an interview for community service hours email kbarry@ngcoop.org.
