Give Joy this
Holiday Season
Right here in our community, there are people who are not expecting the holidays to be very bright. They may have fallen on hard times, they may be ill, alone, or unable to work, and therefore unable to provide Christmas for their children. Clubs, churches, businesses, office groups, families, extended families and individuals are invited to experience the joy of giving this holiday by participating in the Co-Op’s Holiday Programs.
In early October the North Gwinnett Co-Op begins the vetting process & sign-ups for individuals & families in need of help during the holiday season. Prior to Thanksgiving we collect food to go into holiday meal boxes and a $20 gift card for their perishable items. Last year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Co-Op handed out over 1600 holiday meal boxes. Additionally, with the help of amazing volunteers and donors, the Co-Op sponsored 215 seniors and over 600 children for Christmas. The parents of the sponsored children were also invited to attend the Susan Roebuck Santa Shop, where they were able to pick out free toys for their children. Please see below to learn more about each giving opportunity.
