2015 Holiday News

20 Oct

The holidays are a busy time for everyone, the North Gwinnett Co-Op included.  Several several options were available to our clients for the 2015 holidays.  Our clients were able to sign up for Thanksgiving and Christmas meal boxes, child sponsorships and for the second year, our senior clients were able to sign up to be sponsored.

For the 2015 Holidays, we were able to provide:

  • 504 Thanksgiving Meal boxes
  • 495 Christmas Meal boxes
  • over 1,000 bags of groceries
  • Christmas presents to 326 children and 62 seniors.

For the months of November and December, the Co-Op was blessed with over 500 volunteers who donated over 4,000 hours of their time to help with the holiday distribution days.

All of this holiday support we gave our community is becuase people choose to make a difference in someone’s life.  To those that have supported the Co-Op at any point this year, we say thank you.  To those who are looking to partner with an agency in their community that is making a differene, we say, “join us” as we make an impact in the lives of people.  We, as a community, have the COMPASSION, RESOURCES and POWER to implement real change for these families during difficult times!  Please stay on board with us on this journey and be a part of something REALLY BIG as we bring about LIFE CHANGES while we humbly serve in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We have a lot planned for 2016 and need each of you to commit yourselves, however you can, to being a part changing lives.

Right now we need your support with food drives and financial donations!  The foods most needed are:  canned meats, rice, pasta, sauces, coffee, canned fruit, peanut butter and jelly, soups and toiletries.  Financial donations can be made through our PAYPAL account or by mail to P.O. Box 672. , Buford , Ga 30518 .

Thank you all for your ongoing support and stay tuned for GREAT things ahead for the North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries AND our community!
